Arielle Guetta was born in British Columbia and has lived in Victoria for the past twelve years. She completed a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Political Science and Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria (UVic), and more recently she completed the Master of Public Administration program at UVic. Arielle is passionate about building strong communities and this is reflected in both her volunteer and career work. One of her first grown-up jobs was with Pacifica Housing, a leading non-profit charitable organization that provides affordable housing for low income families. Since then she has gone on to take positions with the School of Public Administration at UVic and the Provincial Government, where she currently works to support local governments in B.C. In all of these roles she has sought opportunities to take on a leadership role and help build community at the same time, whether that was organizing a silent auction to raise money for the United Way, promoting recycling and composting in the lunchroom, or putting on a bake sale to promote the provincial employees community services fund.
